Bawdrip

Good Food, Good Beer, Good Company

Welcome to The Knowle Inn, a delightful country pub situated just a few minutes from Junction 23 off the M5 motorway in Somerset. We offer a warm friendly atmosphere coupled with an extensive menua of delicious dishes ranging from pub favourites to our daily specials. Stop off for some refreshments and enjoy our beer garden while tasting a great local Ale. The Last Family and all the staff look forward to welcoming you.

Good Beer

Local beers are always available from Breweries such as Otter Brewery, as well as a selection of Lagers and Ciders. We are now serving Roger Wilkins traditional farmhouse cider on the Hand Pull.

Good Company

The Knowle Inn was the only licensed house in the parish in the 16th Century. It was held by one family between 1618 and 1657, and was said to be used by travellers on the highway. It was part of bawdrip Manor until it was sold to the tenant in 1770. It was then called The Bull but regained its original name in 1806.

Our beer garden has its own micro climate due to the walls that surround it and its location nestled in the side of Knowle Hill. We are famous for our floral displays in the summer months and have been awarded for our garden by the Daily Telegraph. The beer garden has a fish pond as well as a large covered smoking area with open fire. In the warmer weather we host Barbecues and often have live music outside.

Dog's welcome!
